Robothon Grand Challenge

The Robothon competition is organized by the Munich School of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MSRM) of the Technical University of Munich, the Munich Trade Fair and the international “automatica” trade fair. The aim of the competition is to find intelligent solutions to increase the recycling rate for e-waste, which is currently only around 20 percent. The use of robots is ideal for dismantling and sorting e-waste. However, the recognition and localization of objects as well as the sensitive movement sequences are still not an easy task for machines. The Robothon aims to push the boundaries of what is possible in this area with the help of robotics and AI.
