Since November 2018 Prof. Dr. Tobias Kaupp has been research professor for Digital Production and Robotics at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS). At THWS he leads the interdisciplinary Institute for Digital Engineering (IDEE) and the Centre Robotics (CERI) which is integrated in this.
Before his call to THWS, Dr. Kaupp was the managing director and founder of a mobile robotics company in Sydney, Australia, for ten years. Dr. Kaupp graduated in 2008 from the University of Sydney in the area of “Collaborative Human-Robot Interaction”. Dr. Kaupp received the German Diplom (FH) in physical technology in 2001 and a Master in mechatronics in 2003. Both degrees were awarded by University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten (RWU).
